“A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.” Marcus Garvey

Every Thursday here on Quitetrillworldwide we are doing a throwback Thursday. We will pick a jam from the past in any genre and give you some info that you may not have known before about that artist.

There’s never been a smoother singer than Barry White. Born in Galveston Tx in 1944, his baritone became one of the most recognizable voices to ever carry a note; he is synonymous with sexuality and love music. There is a whole generation of children born in the mid to late 70s that came about because of his music. His music always sounded like the prelude to a sex session but his music was always had funky and lush soundscapes. See Barry White was a composer an orchestrator not just a singer so he understood about the “mood” of music. Playing Your Game is one of the funkiest songs he ever made in our opinion here at Quitetrill. Check the live version and play along.
